Bang Bang Chicken Skewers Recipe

Juicy grilled chicken skewers coated in a creamy, spicy bang bang sauce. These skewers are quick to make and perfect for appetizers, parties, or an easy dinner.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Chicken breast cut into cubes
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tbsp Oil vegetable or olive oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder or minced garlic
  • ½ tsp Black pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp Salt adjust as needed
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise full-fat for best taste
  • 2 tbsp Sweet chili sauce Thai style
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha sauce adjust heat level
  • 1 tsp Honey optional, for balance
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice fresh
  • 1 tbsp Spring onions chopped, garnish

Equipment

  • 8 Skewers
  • 1 Grill pan or grill
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 Tongs
  • 1 Basting brush

Method
 

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes if using.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add chicken cubes and coat well with the marinade.
  4. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers evenly.
  5. Preheat grill pan or grill over medium heat.
  6. Grill chicken skewers for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally until cooked through.
  7. In another bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice.
  8. Brush bang bang sauce over hot skewers or drizzle on top before serving.
  9. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can bake these skewers at 200°C (400°F) for 15–18 minutes if you don’t have a grill.
  • Adjust sriracha for mild or extra spicy flavor.
  • Serve with rice or salad for a full meal.
  • Leftover sauce can be stored in the fridge for 2 days.
