  • 1 lb Ground beef 80/20 preferred
  • 1 cup Onion Chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • ½ tsp Black pepper Freshly ground
  • 1 tsp Paprika Smoked preferred
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Optional
  • 1 cup Beef broth Low sodium
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Sharp
  • 1 cup Cheddar Bay biscuit mix Prepared as directed
  • ½ cup Milk For biscuit mix
  • 2 tbsp Butter Melted
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley Chopped, garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Large skillet For cooking beef
  • 1 9x13 baking dish Oven-safe
  • 1 Mixing bowl For biscuit topping
  • 1 Wooden spoon For stirring
  • 1 Measuring cups Optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and cook ground beef until browned.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and Worcestershire sauce.
  5. Pour in beef broth and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Transfer the beef mixture to a greased baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef layer.
  8. Prepare Cheddar Bay biscuit mix with milk according to package instructions.
  9. Spoon biscuit batter evenly over the cheese layer.
  10. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
  11. Brush melted butter over biscuits and sprinkle with parsley.
  12. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
