Crispy Crab And Shrimp Queso Taquitos

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Crab meat cooked, shredded
  • 1 cup Shrimp cooked, chopped
  • 1 cup Queso cheese or melted cheese sauce
  • ½ cup Cream cheese softened
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder optional
  • 1 tsp Paprika for flavor
  • ½ tsp Black pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp Salt adjust as needed
  • 8 pieces Small tortillas corn or flour
  • 2 cups Oil for frying
  • 2 tbsp Fresh cilantro chopped, optional garnish

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crab meat, shrimp, queso cheese, and cream cheese.
  2. Add garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper and mix well.
  3. Warm tortillas slightly to make them flexible.
  4. Place a spoonful of filling onto each tortilla.
  5. Roll tightly into taquito shape and secure if needed.
  6. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  7. Fry taquitos in batches until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. Garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.
  10. Serve hot with dipping sauce.

  • You can bake instead of fry for a lighter version.
