Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup Unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour sifted
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder aluminum-free
  • 1 tsp Sugar optional
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Milk whole milk preferred
  • 1 cup Ham diced, cooked
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Pour melted butter into a baking dish and spread evenly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  4. Stir in milk until a soft batter forms.
  5. Fold in diced ham and shredded cheese.
  6. Spoon the batter evenly over the melted butter.
  7. Spread gently without mixing the butter into the batter.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes until golden brown on top.
  9. Remove from oven and cool slightly before slicing.
  10. Serve warm for best flavor.
