Pizza Grilled Cheese Recipe

A fun and cheesy twist on classic grilled cheese, this pizza grilled cheese sandwich combines gooey mozzarella, pepperoni, and marinara sauce between crispy golden bread slices.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices Bread white or sourdough
  • 2 tbsp Butter softened
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup Marinara sauce pizza sauce
  • ¼ cup Pepperoni sliced
  • 1 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated, optional
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning optional

Equipment

  • 1 Non-stick skillet Medium size
  • 1 Spatula For flipping
  • 1 Knife For slicing
  • 1 Cutting board Optional

Method
 

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice evenly.
  2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Place two bread slices butter-side down in the skillet.
  4. Spread marinara sauce evenly over the bread.
  5. Add shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the filling.
  7. Top with remaining bread slices, butter-side up.
  8. Cook until the bottom is golden brown.
  9. Flip carefully and cook until cheese is melted and bread is crispy.
  10. Remove from skillet, slice, and serve hot.
